The LingoRush Story

Hi! I’m Michael Tamborski, the creator of LingoRush.

The idea for LingoRush started when I was watching my nephew play a mobile game on his iPad.

It was one of those endless runner-style games where you switch lanes and choose upgrades as you go. Sometimes you had to choose between something like +20 or 2× your current amount. The “best” answer depended on what you already had, so without even realizing it, he was constantly doing quick mental math.

And he was completely engaged.

I remember thinking:

“If a game can teach mental math this naturally, what else could it teach?”

Then the idea clicked.

What if an infinite runner could teach another language while still feeling fun to play?

What if instead of collecting coins, players collected vocabulary words?

So LingoRush was born: a fast-paced infinite runner where you collect words, hear real pronunciation from native speakers, and reinforce vocabulary through gameplay.

For the past few years, I’ve been building LingoRush as a solo indie project with one goal in mind:

Make learning languages feel genuinely fun.

Now, I’m excited to finally share a playable demo with the public and begin shaping the future of LingoRush together with early players.

Our Mission

No flashcards. Just fun.

We believe learning should feel engaging, memorable, and rewarding. Our goal is simple:

Make vocabulary learning fun so each word stays with you for the long run.
